Hear the Battle unfold 'In Their Words'

ree

Join me, 2.30 pm on Saturday 20 September at The Battle of Britain Bunker, Uxbridge, for ‘In Their Words’, a specially prepared two-hour presentation, marking the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Travel back in time, back to the Battle for France, back to the evacuation from Dunkirk, and back through the perilous days of the Battle of Britain, when all that stood in the way of a Nazi invasion was Fighter Command.

Hear accounts from Churchill’s Few, the men in the air flying their Hurricanes and Spitfires, and also Churchill’s Many, the men and women on, or under, the ground who helped put them there.

Stand alongside Women’s Auxiliary Air Force Plotters and Tellers gathered round the Plotting Table, sit next to Winston Churchill, 60 feet below ground in the 11 Group Operations Room at Uxbridge, and bale out of a burning Hurricane, 15,000 feet over Kent, while the battle rages over Southern England.

Book here or contact the Battle of Britain Bunker on 01895 238154 or https://battleofbritainbunker.co.uk/
